The Plasmar Recycling Process
Beyond traditional recycling
Beyond Traditional Recycling
Recycling with Plasmar requires an assessment of the plastic to be recycled and then an invitation to recycle with Plasmar when the plastics are determined as suitable. Our recycling process integrates plastic types that are not typically identified as recyclable because our unique manufacturing process utilises both hard and soft plastics to create our 100% recycled and 100% recyclable plastic products.
When looking for a recycling partner it’s critical to examine the types of plastic waste you wish to recycle and ensure that your materials can be recycled into a circular economy outcome that provides a “Chain of Custody” or “Audit Trail” that proves materials are used in product production. Without standardised plastics recycling benchmarks across states, territories or even local government areas, there is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to what polymers are acceptable. Plasmar provides a Certificate of “Chain of Custody” through to product outcome to allow audit through to circular economy outcome.
Collection & Sorting
Our logistics team will work with you to help you present the plastics in a suitable manner for recycling. Your plastics are either collected or delivered to us at our manufacturing facility for inspection and final sorting by plastic type and auditing for contaminants. These contaminants significantly impact the recycling process which is why it is essential for clients to pre-sort their recycling using our Ready 2 Recycle method.
Processing & Manufacturing
Soft and hard plastics are processed through shredding and granulation. By processing plastics recycling into smaller pieces, it makes the plastic material easier to remanufacture. Processed plastic is then melted and molded into our range of circular economy products. These include posts, sleepers, and dunnage.

Completion & Application
Products are cooled, trimmed and stacked, ready for sale to the market. Our products are widely adopted in councils, schools, farming, horse studs, oyster farms and many other applications. Plasmar posts are simply more durable and longlife.
